Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
2010 has been a busy year for us as we finally moved. Initially we thought we’d move north of the M25 to be closer to Johnathan’s family. Having explored most of ‘middle England’ by car and through the internet we finally decided to look further North and in September this year we relocated to Ilkley in West Yorkshire.
We’re really enjoying the change of lifestyle. Ilkley is a Victorian Spa town right on the edge of Ilkley Moor, it has some good shops, Bettys Tea Rooms, plus a regular train service into Leeds. So we’re able to enjoy the beautiful countryside knowing if we really need to, we can get into a city.
Jacob has settled in well at his new school. He misses his friends from Hampton Wick lots, but we’ve been lucky to have a great many house guests since we arrived and we’ve caught up with lots of friends through a few visits ‘down South’
Despite the move we managed to fit in several ski trips this year to Chamonix, Vail and Morzine. At the end of August we had a great camping holiday on the Isle of Wight, and then returned to London to pack up our belongings and move to Yorkshire.
We left Hampton Wick on a real high, thank you everyone for the most amazing send off, the memories we have of our last night will be with us for a long time to come.
